Although it feels like something of a past life now, I used to perform as a singer/songwriter professionally. I began writing my own songs at age 14. My first song “Danny” was inspired by a ghost town in Nevada and a character that I imagined could’ve passed through there.

I continued singing and writing all through my college years and eventually even composed original music for the web series Life or Death, Basically and Bound. I loved collaborating with the writers of these incredible stories.

Although I haven’t written songs or sang onstage in years (save for the odd karaoke night), songwriting is an important part of my journey as a storyteller and writer.
